After a year, I would expect CBS to be noticeably smoother, but not necessarily more complex, and possibly less. Make of that what you will but most dark beers hit their peak in the aging process within 6-12 months of the time they were brewed. Age =/= better, especially with beer.
dubbed this brew the “ Breakfast Stout ” not because it is an essential part of a balanced breakfast , but because it is made from brewed Kona and Sumatra coffees and flaked oats, which themselves are classic breakfast elements.
